The official statement by the Security Ministry
The Security Ministry released and official statement over prosecutor Alberto Nisman's death at 5.07 am today, after his body was found at his apartment in Puerto Madero neighbourhood.

THE DECEASE OF PROSECUTOR NISMAN
The Nation's Security Ministry reported that Federal Prosecutor Alberto Nisman was found dead on Sunday night in his apartment on the 13th floor of the Le Parc tower, in Puerto Madero neighbourhood in Buenos Aires City.
The investigation is led by the head of the National Criminal Court of Instruction N°5 Manuel Arturo de Campos and prosecutor Viviana Fein.
Security Secretary Sergio Berni arrived in the building to monitor the implementation of the protocols to preserve the crime scene by the scientific police agents of the Argentine Naval Prefecture and the Argentine Federal Police, called by the judicial officials in charge of the investigation.
The prosecutor had 10 agents from the Argentine Federal Police assigned for his personal safety.
The agents picked up Nisman's mother from her home and took her to the Le Parc tower. As she tried to enter, the woman realized that the door was locked and that the key was still on the inside.
The family asked the building maintenance staff to call a locksmith to enter the apartment.
Early in the night, the mother entered the apartment with one of the agents and they found Nisman's body in the bedroom's bathroom, blocking the door.
The Judicial was immediately notified. After the arrival of Judge De Campos and Prosecutor Fein, police officials entered the bathroom. Near Nisman's body, which was on the floor, a .22 caliber firearm was found.
